Untrustworthy and pushy
On 26 March I took a friend of mine a 79 years old with bad credit to Byrider Amherst. The check engine light is on as we speak.
He end up going there because they kept on calling him and telling he only needed $ 200 to put down which for him it was a better deal than $2000 at Marhofer at a time. Although they recorded everything but they made him feel it was a better deal, someone Cole helped him. I tried to tell him that a 130,000 miles Chevy Cruze for almost 30,000 dollars was not a good deal . But he needed it to get to work but what do you know, this morning while driving to work the check engine light is on and that is not even a month.
I just bought a GMC 2018 terrain SUV that is not close to how much they are charging him for this car.
I need to find a lawyer and go after them for taking advantage of old people. A 24% interest rate is insane and unheard of.
- Untrustworthy and pushy with higher interest rates
User's recommendation: Don’t go ther, it doesn’t matter how bad you need a car.

Verified Reviewer | Kokomo, IndianaWarranted car not being covered
My name is Michael Ward I am from Kokomo Indiana, contract # 1090**** in case there is help available. On 10/26/2020, I was financed for a vehicle loan.
I chose a 2008 cadillac cts 3.7 with 82,695 miles on it. Said vehicle came with a limited warranty, 36 months/36,000 miles, neither of which has been reached yet. Approximately five months ago the car experienced a timing chain issue which made the car unable to drive. I had the car towed back to the lot for service, the amount to fix car was approximately $1,700.
After a few words they agreed to cover the work on car under warranty. This second issue with car was on 09/08/2021, the vehicle again had an issue with timing chain which made the engine in turn fail. Resulting in the car to need another motor. Again I had an exchange of words with the service tech named Troy, he tried to say the engine had ran dry on oil, this is not the case, so I relayed that information to him as I was telling him this is a very simular case to what happened the first time the car needed fixed in which the timing chain had to be replaced.
So the vehicle still being under a 36 month warranty should still be covered. Now Troy tells me over the phone that he had a motor at their garage there and that he would get it in for $1,300 if I would be willing to meet him in the middle and pay $650.00. I disagreed with him at that moment explaining the car was still covered under said warranty and that I should not have to go out pocket for this problem that was simply an engine malfunction just like the first instance and that was the end of our conversation until 09/16/2021 when Troy sent a text message to my phone with a whole new price for the engine swap now instead of me paying the $650.00 he quoted me on 09/10/2021 that it would be $1,500.00 more then doubled the charge he had just stated to me days before the worked was to be done.
Not to mention this guy just yanked my warranty I am in a contract with, I feel extremely disrespected, and this has made me want out of the contract as they have breached our agreement, not to mention they have price gouged me on the car in the first place by not letting me know the final total cost of the whole purchase of the vehicle until after I was accepted for the loan. I am now stuck paying more than double what the car is actually worth, not to mention being tricked out of my warranty that most of the extra money should be covering to make the repairs and be sure the warranty stays in tact.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Be very cautious when looking for a vehicle and make sure they disclose the full cost of car before loan approval also be very clear to them you want to know that they will stand by their warranty because it seems to be a very false claim that they are. And to not be able to get the money back that you put into their vehicle when they breach their own contract via the warranty is crazy because when a customer breaches the contract we are to pay everything As should they.

My husband and I have been praying we could get approved for a new vehicle for are family of 6. Not only so we could all go do things together but also so we could get better jobs.
We have been struggling financially since my husband has gotten out of the military.
He was promised online and by the salesman we were approved for a vehicle. And was told to take a Uber to Pittsburgh and we would be refunded. However we were completely Lied too.
Not only were we not approved after we were told online and by the salesman we were. They didn't refund us for the Uber that cost 100$ down there.
And left him stranded in Pittsburgh an hour away from home. It cost him another 100$ to get home.
We received no apologies or refund for the Uber they had promised to pay. This is by far the very worst company I have ever come acrossed.
They not only Lied but completely disrespected a hard working father who also served his country.
Worse company Ever!!
